About Erica
Good day. My name is Erica Holt.
I am passionate about helping health care, public health, and non-profit organizations meet their objectives with creative uses of digital and mobile marketing. Over the past several years I’ve developed digital marketing strategies for UCSF Medical Center and as a contractor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products. I also worked for a Managed Care Organization, an independent practice organization, the American Cancer Society, and had a short career in journalism. I’m an MA candidate in health communication and digital technologies at The Johns Hopkins University. I’ll soon be in the throes of my thesis, which will focus on the impact of online social networks for perceived and tangible health benefits.

Erica Holt is a digital marketing consultant with more than eight years experience developing digital media strategies for health, non-profit, and public sector organizations. Her expertise includes mobile and online marketing, web content strategy, social media outreach, web metrics analysis, and search engine optimization.
Erica’s past experience included planning digital outreach and content strategies for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center, California College of the Arts, The Justice Project, the American Cancer Society, and HealthCare Partners. She has planned and implemented projects such as such as designing social network communities, developing blog strategy, implementing search engine optimization, coordinating e-mail marketing campaigns, and developing tools that fuse offline and online communication efforts for targeting specialized audiences.
Erica holds certifications as an Inbound Marketing Certified Professional, Honors Distinction and as a Google AdWords Qualified Individual. She has a BA in mass communication from UC Berkeley, and is currently pursuing an MA in digital communication at the Johns Hopkins University.
